Sainte-Philom\u00e8ne est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e avec les symboles de son martyre (l’ancre et les fl\u00e8ches), car elle fut jet\u00e9e dans le Tibre attach\u00e9e \u00e0 une ancre, puis cribl\u00e9e de fl\u00e8ches avant d’\u00eatre d\u00e9capit\u00e9e.
